July 4, 2011. Just one hour from our Apple Pie and Hot Dogs, the people of Mon Bouton are struggling to get by.  Some are trying to start up businesses, designing, sewing, and altering clothes.  Others are trying to figure out how to get water to their children and families without having to carry it up a mountain on their heads. Below, we're planning the installation of a solar-powered water system.  Some of the children of Mon Bouton enjoying peanut butter made by workers in their community. They make the peanut butter with a hand cranked grinder donated by friends from If Pigs Could Fly in California. |
